It's that time of the year again...

This month I celebrate my birthday, which means that life yet again feels obligated to make my November miserable. Where's Mama? will be taking a temporary break until right after my final paper this semester, on 1 December 2008. However, I will do my best to accommodate all time-sensitive orders such as for birthdays or anniversaries. THANK YOU! to all of you who have supported this tiny dream of mine. #29: Halloweenie Penguins

Happy Halloween! This cute little penguin witch will definitely make you spellbound! It holds a broom in one flipper and a sad frog in the other. This mummy penguin isn't very good at wrapping itself up... and is woefully holding a tiny pumpkin. Bandages are by default white. Who says penguins can't be scary? This one sleeps in a coffin and awakes only at night to feed on the flesh of fresh fruit. Has cute bat wings and fangs too! Here are a pair of angel/devil penguins! The angel penguin is hugging a tiny candle to light up your way, while the devil penguin is holding a tiny ghost in his left flipper. (Get them both for a 10% discount!) This penguin wants to be a bunny! It has bunny slippers, bunny ears, a cute bunny tail... and is of course holding a yummy carrot. All penguins were hand crafted from jumping clay and are around 1.5 inches tall. I can make them any size you like, up to 4 inches. Totally customizable, so if you want them to hug different items just let me know and I will figure a way to make it work. I can also make duckies and birdies in your favorite colors instead of penguins; I've made only penguins so far because I have too much black clay. :) Please allow one week for construction!

It was the season of love, and his friends were leaving no stone unturned in their search for the perfect pebble with which to woo the girl penguin of their dreams. But he was going to find the most perfect pebble of them all. He dreamt of placing the pebble at his Mama's feet, dreamt of having a complete family again... She would use her carrot to beat upon his shell, and always he would instinctively tuck himself inside, always hiding inside until she finally went away. It was not his fault that some great tortoise in history managed to beat one of her ancestors in a race. All he'd ever wanted was to find his Mama, and he did so one slow step at a time. He saw a bridge around two feet away, and rejoiced at the possibility of reaching it within the week. "Perhaps Mama will be there," he thought... He was tired, and the bone he'd found last week was beginning to captivate a nearby fly. But at least, for a while, he had a friend. He would share his bone with it. ...Baybee had never seen his mama. Growing up, he'd heard many tales of how his mama reigned over the colony. Sneaking off from work into the honeycomb palace, he peered into a wide, honey-filled chamber. There she was! Sipping on royal jelly, she was waited on by numerous attendants. "Mama!" BayBee cried. She studied him briefly, with no sign of joy or recognition. An attendant nearby hushed him and said that the Queen should not be disturbed, for she was having yet another baby... Handcrafted from jumping clay, BayBee A is roughly 0.7 inches at its widest section. BayBee B is about 0.3 inches in diameter and is made out of 3 plastic buttons and clay wings and sting. ..."Mama...?" He trembled with fear and delight. Inching towards the speckled oval, he asked, "Are you my mama?" But the egg did not answer. It did not budge, nor turn to acknowledge his presence. A tiny tear rolled down his cheek... *DRUMROLL* First babies ever! I had much work to do today, so instead of being productive, I went and found babies! They are handmade from jumping clay. On the left, a scared tiny one is trying to hide under a bigger one; a spotted egg in the middle; a sad one on the right. They are tiny, less than half an inch in diameter, but I can make them in whatever size you prefer. :)

One day, Angelique found an egg. It was smooth and speckled, and had a curious glow. She held it in her hands, excited and scared. The egg trembled a little... Then a tiny squeak! as the shell broke apart. The baby poked its head out cautiously and looked about. "Mama?" It cried. "Where is Mama?" Angelique's eyes welled up with tears. She felt the baby shiver with fear at the thought of abandonment. "I will be your mama," she said, as she cupped the baby with her hands and held it to her chest, "until we find your mama." The baby snuggled up against her, still quivering with unease, but was finally soothed by the warmth of her newfound mama. "Mama..." it mumbled sleepily. "Ma...ma."

Basic Requirements

All potential mamas must be emotionally capable of loving these babies and must have good hygiene and manners. Mama Angelique retains all rights to discretionary choice of mamas for the adoption. She wants all her babies to go to the best homes possible. :)

If you wish to contact her for any reason whatsoever, please feel free to write to Mama.Angelique [at] gmail [dot] com. (Note: There is a full stop after 'mama'.) Please include the word 'adoption' somewhere in the subject line. This is because Mama Angelique has created a special folder which filters in such emails and she will give top priority to reading these emails whenever she is free. She will reply you within a week; if she does not, please check to see if you have the correct address.

Babies

Each jumping clay baby is individually and lovingly handcrafted by Mama Angelique out of a non-toxic polymer clay which air dries to form a rubbery-textured, squeezable and bouncy baby that is guaranteed not to shatter or chip. Please do not introduce these to human babies as the littler ones are easily frightened and swallowed!

Custom orders are welcomed! Mama Angelique can help you with babies of all shapes, sizes and colors. Everything is customizable so you get a one-of-a-kind baby that you will love.

Payment

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars. If you require a currency conversion quote, please feel free to contact Mama Angelique. Paypal payments to rainingnoodles [at] gmail [dot] com are preferred, however Mama Angelique also accepts money orders, cheques and bank transfers.

Shipping and Handling

Once payment is received and cleared, all babies will be prepared for a safe trip to their new mamas. All babies will ship as registered mail, so you can always track their delivery at this page. Insurance or faster shipping options for the babies can be arranged upon request. Mama Angelique ships worldwide!

Babies will typically be shipped out every weekend, and will take roughly a week to arrive. For estimated airmail transit times from Singapore, please view this document.

Naughty Babies

If you are unhappy with your adopted babies for any reason, please contact Mama Angelique to resolve the problem. If you wish to return the babies, please notify Mama Angelique within three days of receipt for a full refund minus shipping costs. Babies must be returned in the same condition they arrived in.
